I am back after a couple of days away from the computer. It got a little crazy when I was close to releasing the magazine and I needed a break from staring at the computer for days on end. Thank you for all your love and the wonderful responses! So many of you wrote to tell me how happy you were that I started off with block printing, a topic that is obviously close to all of our hearts.
What's next? Well, lots of stuff. I decided on publishing a magazine 2 days before Thanksgiving because it was the blog's 5th birthday. That meant that I spent only 10 days on it. So it had to be short and I couldn't do any features on creative personalities or longer home tours etc. Which is why there have (!) to be more issues and the next issue is tentatively due by mid January. If you are interested in contributing in any way or in advertising, please contact me as soon as possible as I have limited slots though the January issue will be longer and meatier. Some of you have asked on how to get your hands on a printed copy of the December issue- I am still figuring it out and will keep you posted.
Now I did say there was going to be a giveaway associated with the release of the magazine. I need your help in spreading the word about the magazine. If you liked it, it would be great if you could share it with family, friends and readers of your website/blog/Facebook or tweet to your Twitter followers. And as a Thank You! for reading and sharing, I am hosting my annual Anthropologie giveaway. One lucky person will win a $50 Anthropologie gift card. This is open to US readers only (because the gift card is valid only in the country of its origin) but for those readers from other parts of the world, I hope to have another giveaway for you soon. Interested? I hope so!
So what do you have to do?
2. Second entry: Share it on your Facebook page. Please add the hashtag #onceuponateatime
3. Third entry: Tweet the magazine on your Twitter account using the hashtag #onceuponateatime
4. Fourth entry: Pin it to Pinterest with the hashtag #onceuponateatime
5. Fifth entry: For the fifth entry, leave a comment telling me what you would like to see in future issues. How-to articles like the block printing one, home tours, features on creative personalities? Or suggest your own ideas.
So, a total of 5 entries per person! Be sure to leave me a comment+link to the post to let me know how many entries to put in for you and a valid email address to contact you. That's it! You will be supporting the magazine and helping us grow, so thank you in advance! If you live somewhere outside the US, and would still like to take part because you will be visiting/have family living here etc etc, you are welcome to do so. I will announce the winner on Dec 18th. Good luck!
