Another cup of tea and another conversation. I have asked this before but let me ask you again. When you see picture after picture of (forgive-me) picture-perfect rooms, are you hit by the urge to redecorate? Just yesterday, I had this vision for one of the rooms in my house and the only way I can make it come true is to throw out all my existing furniture. Though I could never be that wasteful, I do feel tempted to make changes. So I guess, my question is, are you ever done decorating? How do you deal with decorator's itch? Grab your cup of tea and join in the conversation...
Gosh.. I'm never done with decorating.. or changing or rearranging.. And I envy people who have picture pefect homes... ;-)
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I think my problem is that I have so many ideas that I would like to try but I am not a professional decorator/designer/stylist, so I can't get my thrills that way! Also, I am the only female in my household and the men/boys just don't get why I would want to change anything :P

ReplyDeletei'm always tempted to redecorate. I resort to changing cushion covers, adding - subtracting wall paitings, addition of a new lamp and sometimes even new curtains. But yes there are so many ideas one has. currently I'm tempted to overhaul the entire colour scheme.
lol...so true...just that every dy I see a new house tour on any of the blogs...and I feel I could change something in my one bedroom apartment

ReplyDeleteDiva, I change pillows, paintings too, way easier than furniture. Sudha, I know just what you mean. The most inspiring ideas are the ones that show me how I can repurpose what I already have or give new life to something I am getting bored of.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely right. Personally I am addicted to decorating. Infact I can spend hours sipping a cup of coffee!! and staring at a corner wondering how I can rearrange (works best) or redecorate a place.

hi priya: i love visiting your blog. i feel as though we are kindered spirits. the worst part about decorating for me is when i visiting homes of family and friends and just want to redo their homes. terrible i say !!!!!
