A Postcard From My Life

Tea, anyone?

I haven't been able to blog much this week as going to graduate school+work+family somedays takes up every hour of the day and many hours of the night. I have thought about not blogging or taking a break from blogging (loud gasp of horror!) but I have realized I can't. I love the creative outlet it provides me too much to quit. It started out as a hobby but it really has become an extension of myself. It makes me happy that I have found something outside of my work and daily routine that excites and recharges me and that I look forward to connecting with every day. As I get older (the big 4-0 this year!), I have realized how important it is to have that part of you that is just for you. So, gentle reader, I will be back with some lovely posts later today. But until then, I would love to hear from you what you do that is just for you!

I know what you mean when you say blogging becomes an extension of you.Stopping blogging would mean cutting off from an entire world. It can't be done!
These days I bake fresh bread for myself most mornings. Eating freshly baked buttered bread is like getting a warm hug. The sense of comfort is unbeatable :-)
