I haven't been able to blog much this week as going to graduate school+work+family somedays takes up every hour of the day and many hours of the night. I have thought about not blogging or taking a break from blogging (loud gasp of horror!) but I have realized I can't. I love the creative outlet it provides me too much to quit. It started out as a hobby but it really has become an extension of myself. It makes me happy that I have found something outside of my work and daily routine that excites and recharges me and that I look forward to connecting with every day. As I get older (the big 4-0 this year!), I have realized how important it is to have that part of you that is just for you. So, gentle reader, I will be back with some lovely posts later today. But until then, I would love to hear from you what you do that is just for you!

Umm what a question,,well for me it's blogging ,painting, and yeah sometimes cooking too,:)
very true..I too feel blogging is one thing which we do it for ourselves...:)cannot to go away from it :)
:) Blogging, talking to myself and enjoying sunsets and winter nights ...
I LIKE that line...that part of you that is just for you...:))
For me it's spending a lot time for self as i'm free of most of my responsibilities.....read beautiful blogs....one of them is your blog....:)
i agree with that stmt too that there is a part just for you... i am increasingly waking up early to have some of it... take your time... best of luck with everything... we are waiting for you to blog... however infrequent it is....hugs!
1.Blogging, which I started recently. Then... 2.reading, 3.painting. Want to learn driving...donno yet.
I know what you mean when you say blogging becomes an extension of you.Stopping blogging would mean cutting off from an entire world. It can't be done!
These days I bake fresh bread for myself most mornings. Eating freshly baked buttered bread is like getting a warm hug. The sense of comfort is unbeatable :-)
