Cuixmala

Cuixmala, once the private residence and estate of Sir James Goldsmith, is now a fantastic vacation destination off the Mexican Pacific.  There are villas, casitas and suites for rent with spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding nature preserve. As a design blogger, it's easy to take the beauty outside (which is spectacular!) for granted and focus instead on the interiors. To me, both the pristine white rooms, with their occasional splashes of vivid reds and blues, and the rooms saturated with color are appealing, and remind me a lot of Indian style. Do you see a similarity too?

It's fabulous, but when I think of all the maintenance (of course, they have FT staff!) with my two lively kids, I shudder! This is lovely to feast our eyes on though ;o)
