You have to agree that it's been a few weeks since I have posted anything on Morocco and its glorious riads. That's about as long as I can stay away from this fascinating country! Today, I want to share with you this rebuilt riad featured in Architectural Digest. It takes the best of Moroccan design and pares down the exuberant colors and what remains is the elegance and rich detailing so symbolic of that country. It has that East meets West vibe that I totally adore. The home belongs to art dealer Dorothea Elkon- when she bought the riad, it was in disrepair but it has been rebuilt and made magnificent by designer Salem Grassi!
There are many, many pictures at the AD website.
