I had the great pleasure of hearing from Shanti Crawford of Indigo + Ochre Design and we got to talking about something we both are passionate about: supporting artisans from around the world. I was curious about the design services offered by Indigo+Ochre Design (with a tempting name like that, I couldn't not be curious!) and when I visited their portfolio online, I loved their work and knew I had to share it with all of you.
Indigo+Ochre Design is a joint venture by Shanti Crawford and Courtney Chilov "and together we bring far ranging backgrounds in interior design, human rights and international development, global sourcing, fine antiquing, staging and curating. We both hail from birthplace India and have spent many years in many spots overseas, so our scope is roaming and our sources far flung. At Indigo & Ochre Design, we create enduring and individualized interiors for our clients. Incorporating antiques, vintage finds and ethically and sustainably produced goods (via a global guild of tradespeople and artisans) we craft timeless homes of real character." That is exactly my cup of tea! I love the earthy colors, the mix of objects from around the world and the timeless and elegant feel of the interiors.
